FAFSA: Don't miss out on the money!

October 10, 2016

Financial Aid can be a tricking thing to navigate.  Don't fall prey to the FAFSA Myth;  But we make too much money to qualify for financial aid. FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the colleges use the information to make determinations about financial aid.  Yes, it is used to determine if you qualify for federal aid (federal grants, subsidized loans, work study, etc) but there is a lot of aid that is available for students who DO NOT qualify for federal aid.  State financial aid, Corporate Scholarships, Private Scholarships,  and College Scholarships can base eligibility on the proof that you do not qualify for federal aid.

FAFSA:  Used to determine your eligibility for federal aid or to prove you do not meet eligibility.
